Job Title: Expressive Therapy Group Facilitator (Weekends, Contract)
Location: Jensen Beach, FL (On-site)
Schedule: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 10–15 hours per week
Pay: $28 – $45 per hour, based on licensure and experience
Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
About River House Wellness
River House Wellness is a residential mental health treatment program in Jensen Beach, FL. We provide compassionate, individualized care to adults working toward healing and stability. Our team is supportive and collaborative, and we value creativity as part of the recovery process.
About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate Group Facilitator to lead creative and experiential groups on weekends. If you use art, music, or movement to help people express what words can’t, and you care deeply about people living with mental health challenges, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging therapeutic groups using creative modalities such as art therapy, music therapy, and movement
- Create a safe, supportive, trauma-informed group environment
- Adapt group content to the needs and acuity of a residential mental health population
- Complete timely, accurate group documentation in the EMR
- Communicate client observations and concerns to the clinical team
- Follow facility policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field (required)
- Availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (required)
- Experience facilitating groups in a behavioral health setting
- Ability to lead creative groups (art, music, and/or movement)
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals who struggle with mental health
Preferred
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Florida licensure or registration: LCSW, LMHC, RMHCI, or RCSWI
- Training or certification in expressive arts, art therapy, music therapy, or movement therapy
- Residential mental health experience
