System Engineer IV – IT Infrastructure Location: Atlanta, GA Client: Southern Company Services Contract Duration: 3 Years Experience: 10+ Years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced System Engineer IV to support enterprise IT infrastructure, hardware platforms, system software, and production‑critical systems. This role will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting multiple infrastructure platforms. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of systems engineering or infrastructure support experience , strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform root‑cause analysis for service interruptions while developing preventive measures to improve system reliability. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and support technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot system software and hardware. Support multiple infrastructure platforms in an enterprise IT environment. Perform high‑level root cause analysis for service interruptions and system issues. Create preventive measures to reduce recurring problems and improve reliability. Provide user and technical support for infrastructure‑related issues. Document system changes, troubleshooting steps, and support procedures. Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve issues. Required Qualifications 10+ years of systems engineering, infrastructure support, or related IT experience. Strong experience supporting hardware, system software, and technical infrastructure. Experience configuring, debugging, and supporting multiple infrastructure platforms. Strong root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem‑resolution skills. Experience supporting enterprise or production‑critical IT environments. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical priorities.
