Job Details

• Position: RN - CVICU
• Location: Asheville
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Night Shift
• Schedule: 3x12
• Experience Required: 2 Years
• Weekly Pay: $1830 to $2030

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in the CVICU
• Monitor and assess patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries and procedures
• Administer medications, IV therapies, vasoactive drips, and blood products as prescribed
• Operate and monitor advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitoring systems
• Interpret hemodynamic data and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, intensivists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and quality care standards

Requirements

• Active RN License in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU, ICU, or Critical Care nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required
• Experience with cardiac surgery recovery, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care equipment preferred
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care
