Inpatient Surgical Nurse - Night Shift

Role Overview Provides direct patient care in an inpatient surgical setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. Key Responsibilities Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration. Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the care team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural and spiritual factors, and barriers to involvement. Maintains safety awareness, working in a constant state of alertness as this is a safety-sensitive position. Qualifications & Skills Required: RN license, Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, less than two years of experience. Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
