Job Opportunity: OB/GYN
We are excited to announce an opening for a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN to join our expanding Women's Health Service Line. This role is based at our outpatient facility in West Islip, conveniently located near Good Samaritan University Hospital. Our organization is a comprehensive healthcare system dedicated to serving the communities of Long Island, New York, comprising six hospitals, three skilled nursing facilities, a regional Home Care and Hospice service, and a community-based agency for individuals with developmental disabilities. With over 17,000 employees and an operating budget exceeding $3.8 billion, we proudly serve more than three million residents across Suffolk, Nassau, and Eastern Queens Counties.
In recent years, we have made significant investments in our Women's Health Service Line, aiming to create an integrated program that encompasses various specialties, including OB/GYN, Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology, and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. Our OB/GYN team supports approximately 4,700 deliveries each year.
Salary Range$312,271 - $465,235

- Deliver comprehensive care for patients with gynecologic concerns, including outpatient assessments, inpatient care, and major surgical procedures.
- Adhere to established standards of care and uphold the ethical principles of the medical profession.
- Engage in Graduate Medical Education (GME) activities for fellows, residents, and medical students, including lectures, preceptorships, and small group teaching; a strong commitment to academic medicine and education is essential.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call coverage.
- Contribute to clinical trials and quality initiatives based on performance data.
- Licensed MD or DO in New York State.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Robust clinical background in evaluation and management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels to foster a culture of patient safety and contribute to performance improvement.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate and actual compensation will depend on various factors, including education, training, skills, licensure, certification, competencies, and relevant experience. This range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation that may apply, nor does it account for the value of benefits.
