Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and addressing acute and chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
• Teaching patients and families about preventative care, wellness strategies, and disease management.
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your scope of practice
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Accurately documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Washington State
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or appropriate specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or able to obtain within 90 days)
