SEC Reporting Consultant

This position will play a critical role in the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while partnering cross-functionally across accounting, finance, and executive leadership.The ideal candidate is both technically strong and hands-on, with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, publicly traded environment.Note: This opportunity is open to W2 candidates only — C2C arrangements will not be consideredKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosuresEnsure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirementsManage the financial reporting process and supporting schedulesCoordinate closely with external auditors and internal stakeholdersAssist with technical accounting research and implementationSupport quarter-end and year-end close activities as they relate to reportingIdentify process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiencyRequired QualificationsProven experience in SEC reporting within a publicly traded companyStrong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement presentationExperience preparing or reviewing 10-K and 10-Q filingsBackground in Big 4 or national public accounting (highly preferred)Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyPreferred QualificationsExperience with technical accounting and complex transactionsFamiliarity with reporting tools (e.g., Workiva, Hyperion, or similar)Strong communication and business partnering skillsCPA or equivalent certification preferredDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
