Summary:

The Non-Forklift/Picker performs several tasks in support of the timely and accurate distribution of Nice North America (Nice) products. Tasks include but are not limited to picking of customer orders throughout the warehouse and handling of boxes & pallets in the staging areas. The Non-Forklift/Picker is responsible for organizing, managing and the accurate monitoring of storage and distribution of Nice North America (Nice) products.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:  Monday-Friday (9:00 am - 5:30pm) with occasional work on Saturdays as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ground Picking orders for shipment to customers
• Operating RF guns to complete picking activities
• Safely maneuvering a cart or pallet jack through limited space areas
• Will be required to effectively load a trailer with UPS boxes

• Processing domestic and international small parcel shipments on shipping systems, such as UPS and FedEx 
• Will be required to manually case pick orders using a walkie rider on a frequent basis  
• Operating specific material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required 
• Verifying part number and counts of products being shipped  
• Handling of product in an efficient, accurate, and safe manner
• Checking or counting products for accuracy and/or damage
• Understand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner using the established procedures
• Performs work following department policies and standards
• Must be able to support picking and packing
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor
• Operating specific material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One (1) year related experience involved in performing work in a warehouse

• Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills

• Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop
• Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands

• Vision and depth perception suitable for use of utilizing machinery and/or a computer
• Manual dexterity suitable for use of utilizing machinery and/or a computer
• Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permits the employee to work in a warehouse
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 lbs
• Ability to stand up to 100% of the time comfortably, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Must be comfortable working in a distribution environment around heavy equipment such as forklifts
• Operation of the machine requires working with, and coming into contact with, various materials and substances
• Willingness to wear proper safety equipment including safety vest, closed toe shoes, and gloves
• Working temperatures may vary from hot, cold, humid, wet or dry
• Working hours may be extended and weekends may be required in order to meet customer needs
