Quality Technician C- 2nd shift

Location: Huntington, Indiana (US-IN), United States Brand: Bendix Requisition ID: 10227 Job Grade: 10 On‑Site / Remote: On‑site Job Title Quality Technician – Shipping Shift Information 2nd Shift – Mon‑Fri 3:00 PM–11:00 PM Job Summary Inspecting while also ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed correctly and that shipments are tracked and delivered on time. Fast‑paced environment with frequent lifting of parts. Attention to detail is a must. Employees will be required to train on multiple stations with the first day as observational. Other duties as assigned. Located at Bendix Distribution Center. Key Responsibilities Truck Packing – Inspect pallet/pallet box brought to pack‑out area in shipping by Forklift Pickers. Ensure paperwork is correct, labels printed and applied. Carry up to 50‑60 boxes per hour. Cut pallet boxes to order size in preparation for shipment. Small Package Packing – Inspect orders and labels for boxes. Input data into computer. Handle up to 450‑500 boxes per shift, weight up to 70+ lb. Lift boxes from 28‑inch height to pallets on floor lifts. Requirements & Skills Maintain good attendance and work overtime as required. Safely and effectively operate in an industrial environment. Read, write and comprehend work instructions, policies and safety analyses. Perform basic mathematical calculations. Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Reason, analyze and troubleshoot issues on the job. Work as a team member and resolve issues as part of a team. Consistently meet production, safety and quality standards. Perform all job functions safely and effectively. Participate in daily pre‑work stretching program. Assume other duties as assigned. Wear required personal protective equipment as described. Comply with customer requirements (e.g., shipping instructions, packaging requirements). Lift up to 50 lb. Stand for long periods of time. Obtain forklift license. Tools & Equipment Dial caliper, blade micrometer, vernier micrometer, thread micrometer, radius gauge, thread gauge, depth micrometer, thread plug gauge, staple gun, utility knives, RF scanner computer/software, printers, pallet jack, step ladder. Protective Personal Equipment Eye protection (UPS areas), steel‑toe boots, anti‑fatigue mats, and anti‑cut gloves.
