Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration or design. Master's Degree preferred (MBA or hybrid business degree)

7 10 years of Business development or related experience in a similar industry.

1 2 years of team leadership

Deep understanding of business context (structures, market, business structures and technology implications).

Expertise in financial implications of creativity.

Necessary office skills: PC, Telephone, Copier

Necessary character traits for success in this role: independent worker with initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Self-motivated. High attention to detail and the ability to deliver work at the highest quality. M-F, 8-5PM (40 hours per week) Hybrid Work: Partial, 2-days onsite, 2 days remote, 1-day flexible

Responsibilities

Strategic partnering on design projects for diverse Design Work clients and BMW Group brands.

Responsible for successfully achieving Design Work Partnering targets by creating new client networks that align with DW strategic objectives, service offering and value system.

Main Responsibilities Provides keen insight on behalf of DW global brand, partnering and development strategies.

Conducts strategic partnering efforts for new clients in targeted business and industry sectors as well as within the BMW Group (outside ED) through his/her extensive knowledge, experience, and best judgment to leverage

DW reputation as a leading global competitor of cutting-edge designs and business partnerships.

Expands DW business networks and knowledge for new customer engagements, and new types of engagements locally while in alignment with global counterparts, leading to entering relationships with organizations that compliment DW strategic objectives, service offerings and value system, which produces meaningful results in new business development providing value for our Customer, DW, and BMW Group.

Investigates new business model possibilities and proposes different working partnerships for DW.

Expert within the field of strategic partnering, possessing the expertise and skills to lead DW partnering targets.

Drives the strategic direction of DW to maximize quality and value while growing DW business relationships.

Engagement Development

Prospect and search new business opportunities, with new clients, in the assigned regions, and market sectors.

Manage new client relations (conflict management, client entertainment, maintain contact database).

Research on target client's strategies. Define project/client scope potential.

Target and initial client contact. Create strategies and plans for initial client contact and capture.

Manage client go/no go approval. Develop and maintain marketing and sales material (case studies, value modules, sales pitch, proposal standards).

Consult on global and local account strategies - Status and plan for each major 3rd party account.

Contribute to cross studio continuous alignment for effective collaboration.

Client Development

Write proposals, including the scope of the program, program schedule and prepare budget with Creative Consulting, with partners in Project Management or Design group leads as assigned.

Negotiate scope and budget with potential client.

Interface with legal departments (client and internal) regarding contracts, agreements, and standard terms.

Write mpp/project plan. Prepare yellow/blue sheet for internal alignment and approval.

Obtain PO and contract signature from client.

Manage hand-over to Creative Consulting and/or Design (Internal Kick-off with Project goals, Staffing, time, project background, risk assessment, project landscape, best practices, account potential, roles, agenda, travel for project kickoff at client).

Attend kick-off project meetings (DW and client meetings).

Tailor presentations for clients by contributing to entity of deliverable, present client's interest, and expectations.

Present and pitch in front of client up to CEO level. Post project liaison to DW-4 (debrief, DW presentation).

Miscellaneous

Responsible for predicting hours accurately.

Maintain and monitor relevant system documents (PMS report, Active Project Status, utilization etc.).

Attends trade shows, events, follows the creative community.

Supports research and vendor liaison.

Performs other duties as assigned
