We currently serve 1060 students across three campuses, and continue to grow our enrollment each year. Our intentionally diverse student body comes from many racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds representing 70 zip codes across the Bay Area and 29 home languages. We are closing the opportunity gap for our historically underserved students every day.ResponsibilitiesInspects buildings and grounds at regular intervalsPerforms regular custodial work as neededMaintains storage area for equipment, materials, and suppliesCarries out the directions of Office Manager and Head of School OperationsSweeps floors and messes, cleans and dusts walls, furniture, and other equipmentCollects trash; empties and cleans waste containersCleans spills and responds to other facilities needs during the school dayMoves or rearranges chairs, tables, desks, furniture and other equipment as neededManages the inventory of cleaning supplies and informs the Office Manager when supplies are running lowDisposes trash every day in all classrooms, office rooms, cafeteria, and courtyardOperates the locking of the dumpsters according to supervisor's instructionTransport and coverage on other campuses as neededPerform other job-related duties as assignedStudent SupervisionMaintain the safety and security of the students and campus, foster a safe school culture and model/promote positive behaviors by providing high visibility and interaction throughout the schoolMonitor students during lunch and recess inside and outside of buildingsAssist with meal time duties, including lunch support and distributionQualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working comparable to that of a custodianProficiency in EnglishTime CommitmentPosition is a 12-month position with certain holiday days/weeks off throughout the year. Students are present for the 180-day school year. Hours worked are 7am-3:30pm.Compensation$23-28/hour. This is a full time position eligible for health and dental benefits.
