Job Responsibilities Class “A” surface experience Hi-light experience Stoning experience Able to “feel” for surface defects Metal finish experience Confidence to make decision on findings and support decision with evidence Understand thinning analysis reports Good written communication skills Good verbal communication skills Knowledge of stamping process Ability to travel for training and work Understand Customer standards Able to predict effect of defect after paint Physical Demands Some of the physical demands for this position include being able to lift up to a weight of 40 pounds and the ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time. Equipment & Tools Used Some of the equipment and tools used are a computer, printer, telephone, photocopier, and fax machine, PPE and an assortment of metrology tools. Education High School Diploma or GED required; with a minimum of 1 year as QA‑Auditor, and have proven track record in cosmetic, functional testing and dimensional inspections. Technical Training GD& T, Weld Standards, Manufacturing Practices, SPC Other Skills Demonstrated proficiency in the use of precision measuring tools including tape measures, scales, Vernier calipers, etc. Metal Finish experience a plus. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Express. PDCA/8D/5 why knowledge a plus.
