Factory Utilities Maintenance Technician

Housekeeping And Manual Labor

Primarily responsible for housekeeping, cleaning, and various manual labor duties.

Performance must reflect an appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

1. Communal areas (excluding offices) like: Warehouse, Blending, Maintenance Shop, Concrete Truck Court, Rail-Road Tracks, Parking Lots, Retention Pond (as required), and any other area indicated by Maintenance Manager. Ensure areas mentioned before are clean and free of "fugitive" pellets ("Floor Sweep" - spill control).
2. Ensure all drain baskets (30x30" and round drains) from truck court and blending operation areas are clean and free of pellets.
3. Pick up litter and trash from ground and landscaping areas.
4. Pick up trash and recycle items from designated cleaning stations and dumpsters.
5. Perform cleaning tasks as indicated by direct supervisor.
6. Work following safety practices and company rules and policies.
7. Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
8. Identify potential hazards and report to immediate supervisor.
9. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
10. Commit to OCS Blue & OSHA Safety facility standard.

1. Ability to operate a Forklift required.
2. Be able to perform all physical requirements of the job and work in a safe manner.

4. Ability to read, write, keep neat and accurate records, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.

Licenses / Certifications: Forklift certification

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.

1. This role works primarily in an outdoor environment (approximately 85%) with additional time spent in a warehouse setting (15%). Must be able to work in varying temperatures, safely and effectively throughout all seasons.
2. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

1. Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, and crouching.
2. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (often 810 hours per day).
3. Must be able to climb.
4. Precise hand-eye coordination is necessary for operating machinery and handling small tools.
5. Ability to differentiate colors, depth, and perception.
