Registered Nurse - Infusion

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Infusion RN provides specialized nursing care to patients requiring infusion therapy within a consulting setting. This role involves administering IV medications, monitoring patient responses, and educating patients and families while ensuring high standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients thoroughly to develop and implement personalized infusion care plans.
• Initiate IV access via peripheral or central venous devices and administer infusions as ordered by licensed practitioners.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses, adjusting care plans as needed to ensure comfort and safety.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, medication management, and follow-up care.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion therapies following strict safety protocols.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in medical records per guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active IL RN license with at least 2 years of ICU, medical-surgical, or infusion nursing experience.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EMR systems and medical documentation practices.
• Exhibit strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and independent working skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams with excellent customer service skills.
