Primary Care Medical Director Opportunity in Vermont

Primary Care Medical Director | Southwestern Vermont Lead a mission-focused primary care team while continuing to care for patients in one of Vermont's most scenic regions. Practice Overview Fully integrated, whole-person care model with primary care, behavioral health, psychiatry, dental services, and programs addressing food insecurity and social determinants of health

Lead and mentor a primary care team that includes nurse practitioners and a strong interdisciplinary support staff

Dedicated support staff includes triage nurses, a population health manager, community health worker, referral specialist, and one medical assistant per provider

Schedule Three clinical days per week, including 2.5 days of patient care and a half-day for documentation and administrative work

Two days dedicated to leadership responsibilities and program development

Patient visit structure designed for thoughtful care: 40 minutes for complex visits and 20 minutes for lower acuity visits

Compensation & Benefits Earn a base salary between $275,000 and $300,000, with the opportunity to reach a base of $325,000.

Five weeks of CTO, eight paid holidays, plus one week of paid CME time and annual CME allowance

Candidate Requirements Board-certified or board-eligible physician in Family Medicine with experience providing comprehensive primary care across all age groups

Comfort managing complex chronic conditions in a rural patient population
