Network Engineer III

Job Description Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. The equivalent in related work experience and self study may be substituted. JNTCP/CCNA/CCNP preferred. Experience: 3 to 6 years of direct experience in the design, testing, and implementation of IP router based high-speed technology in an ISP or equivalent environment. Extensive experience with IP routing and related technologies required (TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, IPv6, CIDR, UDP, TFTP, DHCP, NAT/PAT,DNS, DOCSIS) Working knowledge of OSI model required Specific knowledge of Cisco routers, especially the IOS-XR based required Specific knowledge of Juniper routers and the JUNOS operating system required Specific knowledge of layer 2 switching required Experience with Metro Ethernet and MPLS services preferred Experience with TDM/Cellular Backhaul services preferred Knowledge of DOCSIS and related services preferred Experience with multicast (PIM, IGMP) a plus Broad knowledge of CMTS's a plus Creative, self-motivated team player willing to participate in developing cutting-edge solutions Clear and effective verbal and written communications skills Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects.
