Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant Job Description

This Pharmacy Assistant position supports a centralized fill pharmacy in Everett, WA that supplies patient-level prescriptions for a large national retail chain. You will work in an automated refill center and contribute to high-volume, pick-pack-ship pharmacy operations by performing warehouse tasks such as packing prescriptions, receiving, and shipping. This fast-paced, team-oriented role offers opportunities to learn, grow, and support the delivery of accurate prescriptions that improve patient care, all without direct patient interaction or insurance data entry responsibilities.

• Process prescription orders for shipping in a high-volume automated refill center.
• Fold and pack patient paperwork with prescriptions to prepare orders for shipment.
• Sort patient orders by store location and place them in totes for shipping.
• Load packaged product and totes into trucks for distribution to retail locations.
• Follow and comply with all policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Review operational and production reports to identify and correct errors.
• Perform accurate packing of patient paperwork and prescriptions to ensure correct orders.
• Conduct sorting of patient orders to maintain efficient workflow and timely delivery.
• Support general warehouse and pharmacy production activities, including pick, pack, and ship tasks.
• Collaborate with team members in a safety-first environment to meet productivity and quality goals.

• WA State Pharmacy Assistant License, or eligibility and willingness to obtain the license within 1–2 weeks of hire.
• 0–1 year of experience in a pharmacy production environment or similar setting.
• Experience or familiarity with pharmacy or pharmacy support functions.
• Experience with data entry tasks related to production or fulfillment environments.
• Experience with pick, pack, and ship operations in a warehouse or healthcare support setting.
• Understanding of prescription refill processes or healthcare support workflows.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift (8+ hours per day).
• Ability to perform frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescriptions and paperwork.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Commitment to following safety protocols, SOPs, and quality standards.

• Interest in building a career in pharmacy operations, healthcare support, or supply chain management.
• Comfort working with automated systems and high-volume automation in a warehouse or pharmacy setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to participate in a variety of training opportunities to expand skills and knowledge.
• Flexibility to work mandatory overtime, including up to 1–2 additional hours as needed following major U.S. holidays.

This role is fully on-site in a centralized, automated refill pharmacy located in Everett, WA. The work environment is fast-paced and highly automated, with a strong focus on pick, pack, and ship operations for prescription fulfillment. You will spend most of your shift standing and walking, performing repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping while handling prescriptions and totes. The schedule for the first 6–12 months is Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with Thursdays and Saturdays off. Mandatory overtime is regular and may extend the shift by up to 1 hour, and occasionally up to 2 hours following major U.S. holidays. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, WA.

The pay range for this position is $20.95 - $20.95/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
