Medical Lab Technician, Chemistry (Night Shift)ARMStaffing is looking for a Medical Lab Technician, Chemistry (Night Shift) in Charleston, South Carolina.LocationCharleston, SCAssignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Schedule/ShiftThis position involves night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a schedule of 7 on and 7 off. Weekend work is required, with every other weekend expected.Job DescriptionAs a Medical Lab Technician, you will support high-quality laboratory testing in a clinical laboratory setting. Responsibilities include preparing specimens for testing, performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, conducting quality control, troubleshooting errors, maintaining laboratory instruments, and communicating technical information to medical staff. You will also assist in training laboratory personnel and participate in continuing education efforts.ResponsibilitiesPrepare specimens for routine and specialized laboratory testing.Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot quality control errors.Maintain and conduct preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments.Communicate technical information to both medical and laypersons.Assist in training laboratory personnel in routine procedures.Recognize normal and abnormal laboratory values.Required ExperienceAt least 2 years of experience as a Medical Lab Technician, preferably in Chemistry and Hematology.Certifications/LicensureBachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a relevant medical/scientific discipline.Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP BOC or equivalent.About ARMStaffingFounded in 2011 and a member of the ARGroup, LLC, ARMStaffing connects dedicated nurses and allied health professionals with the facilities that need them most.
