Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor – Modern European History Location: Worcester, MA. Department: Humanities & Arts. Division: Worcester Polytechnic Institute – WPI. Academic Year: 2026-2027, beginning August 2026. Job Responsibilities Teach six courses and two capstone‑inquiry seminars in History and International and Global Studies. Qualifications Ph.D. in History preferred; terminal degree in other relevant fields considered. Ph.D. earned by August 15, 2026. Track record of successful university‑level classroom teaching. Ability to work creatively and collaboratively across disciplines with faculty, staff, and students. Compensation and Benefits $70,000 – $78,000 per year, based on experience, expertise, and internal equity. Salary is Exempt FLSA status.
