Position Details:
Title: Analytical Chemistry Technician
Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need
Job Location : Madison Heights, MI
Shift: 1st shift
Benefits : 401K, Dental insurance, Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Vision Insurance, PTO
Compensation : $25-$29/HR


Responsibilities:
Perform Testing following SOP, QC, ASTM or similar related test method/procedures
Operate Analytical Equipment or Devices (ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID, HPLC, etc.)
Review data for quality trends and proper reports
Utilize Microsoft Office and Digital Platforms (LIMS)
Maintain proper housekeeping (5S) and safety
Check e-mails for questions
Follow quality procedures for log and other record keeping


Qualifications:
1-year of demonstrated laboratory experience - Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - word, excel and PowerPoint. - Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data. - Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols. - The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day. - Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field. Experience working in an Analytical laboratory desired. Able to work in teams and in a fast-paced environment. Skills with ICP, IC, XRF, SEM, GC-FID & HPLC desired.
