Registered Nurse - ER

Emergency Room Contract Position

Contract must continue into January. Earliest end date: January. Traveler may request one holiday off. Locals accepted for one contract with same pay. RTO must be submitted at time of submittal, no additional RTO will be approved later on. RTO blocked 11/28-11/30, 12/19-12/21, 12/26-12/28. Holidays: Traveler must be willing to work two of three major holidays - unit will allow one holiday off, cannot request both the eve/day after and day of holiday, must choose one day. (Thanksgiving or Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, or New Years Eve or New Year Day). Start date: ASAP. Specialty: ER on call: no. Weekend: yes - three weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4 week schedule - might be scheduled to work one day of the weekend, two days or all three days. Floating: yes – peds possible.

Required certifications: state license, ACLS, BCLS by AHA, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC (preferred). Required experience: level I trauma experience required, 2 year minimum experience preferred - will consider 1.5 if has all other skills - interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - EPIC charting experience. Preferred experience: unit accepts first time travelers - continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience - triage experience.

Additional info about the unit: Level 1 trauma center, stroke center, heart center and pediatric emergency department. Currently experiencing high 1:5-6 ratios. It could be up to 8 depending how many patients come in and holidays. Traveler has level I trauma experience. Traveler agrees to work three weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4 week schedule. Traveler acknowledgment of high ratios 1:5-6 ratios. It could be up to 8 depending how many patients come in.
