DOR Responsibilities:

• Leadership Role: Overssee the rehabilitation department, providing guidance and support to rehabilitation team members, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and rehabilitation aides.

• Develop and implement effective rehabilitation treatment plans that meet the unique needs of our patients, with a focus on restoring function and independence.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including nursing, medicine, and therapy, to ensure seamless transitions and high-quality care.

• Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and develop initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, reduce readmissions, and increase patient satisfaction.

• Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise rehabilitation staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

• Budgeting and Operations: Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

• A degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Rehabilitation Director or in a leadership role within a rehabilitation department.

• Professional certification in a relevant field (e.g., PTA, OTR/L, PT, SLP).

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to think critically and resolve complex issues.

• Familiarity with regulations and guidelines governing rehabilitation services.
