Job title: Front Desk Opener

Position: P art-time, hourly

Reports to: Club Manager

Be the person our early-morning members can count on. As the Front Desk Opener at Retro Fitness, you will prepare the club for opening, welcome the first members, and maintain an organized, helpful front desk throughout your shift.

What you will own

Opening readiness. Arrive at the paid shift start time and complete the opening checklist before admitting members. Follow key and alarm procedures, check assigned areas, and promptly report access problems or hazards.

Member welcome. Greet members and guests, manage check-ins, answer calls, and provide accurate information about the club. Maintain a helpful, professional presence during the early-morning rush.

Account support. Process authorized payments and account updates accurately, protect member information, and document concerns. Refer issues outside your authority to club management.

Sales and referrals. Support membership inquiries, tours, referrals, Welcome Workout bookings, and approved retail or service sales. Connect members with the appropriate sales or fitness team member.

Club presentation. Keep the desk and lobby clean and organized, complete assigned stocking and cleaning checks, and report equipment or facility concerns. Coordinate coverage so the desk remains attended.

What we are looking for

• Dependable attendance and the ability to consistently meet the posted early-morning start time are essential.
• Customer service, front desk, or opening experience preferred. Comfortable using computers, phones, and point-of-sale systems.
• High school diploma or GED completed or in progress. Clear communication, attention to detail, and sound judgment when working independently.
• Ability to stand, move throughout assigned areas, and perform routine cleaning and stocking tasks, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.

This is a designated opening position with a fixed early-morning start. Paid shift start: [insert time]. Club opening: [insert time]. Assigned days and shift end: [insert]. Additional weekend or holiday coverage will be discussed during hiring. All opening preparation is paid work.

Compensation

Hourly pay: [insert approved range]. Proposed commission eligibility follows the supplied Front Desk plan: 7% personal PT sales and 10% supplement sales, subject to approval for this opener role and written plan terms.
