Material Handler I

Material Handler ILocation: Cleveland, MS Duration: 6 Months Working Schedule: 3rd Shift -11 PM - 7 AM NOTE: Overtime is required and may consist of both additional hours and additional days worked. Will be working 6-7 days week.Job Responsibilities:Perform manufacturing processes for the production of plastic pour bottles.Perform and document line clearances.Verify correctness of material.Load empty gaylords on production line to be filled with plastic pour bottles.Pack plastic pour bottles into empty gaylords, cover and ensure proper labeling of product.Inspect bottle and gasket assembly.Report abnormalities and corrective action to shift leader/supervision.Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Lean exercises.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.Able to complete documentation legibly and per procedure.Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.Physical Requirements:Ability to bend, stoop and climb ladders.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.Ability to lift above the shoulder.Required Education and Experience:High school diploma required.Additional technical experience, training, or education a plus.Basic mathematical skills and computer skills required.Other Duties as Assigned:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
