Fire Alarm Systems TechnicianFire Alarm Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will participate in the installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of state-of-the-art fire alarm equipment, including fire safety, mass notification, detectors, and field peripherals. Our Fire Alarm Technicians are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help keep their buildings and inhabitants safe.As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will:Assist with the commissioning of new fire alarm systems on construction ensuring seamless integrationAssist with testing and inspecting of existing fire alarm systemsPlan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team LeaderComplete commissioning within planned timelinesSubmit accurate time and expense logsWork overtime when needed and overnight travel may occasionally be required.You will make an impact with these qualifications:Electro-mechanical experience (either from a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skill; proficient in Microsoft OfficeMust be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassistedMust obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 18 monthsMust be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle programLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred6 + months experience installing commercial fire alarm equipmentAbility to read/understand design and construction documentsReady to create your own journey?
