IT Support Specialist

Job Summary The IT Support Specialist position is based at the Leonard Mount Airy, NC Customer Support Center (CSC), with operations in the U.S and has overall responsibility for providing exceptional technical support to end-users, maintaining hardware and software, managing network infrastructure, ensuring cybersecurity and compliance, and facilitating continuous learning and improvement within the company's IT environment. This position reports directly to the IT Manager and does not have direct reports. Job Responsibilities Provides timely and effective technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoots and resolves IT-related problems, escalating complex issues as needed. Delivers exceptional customer service to ensure end-user satisfaction. Performs routine maintenance on hardware devices, including computers, printers, and peripherals. Installs, configures, and updates software applications to ensure optimal performance. Manages hardware and software inventory, tracking assets and ensuring compliance. Monitors and maintains the company's network infrastructure, resolving connectivity issues. Collaborates with network administrators to implement network upgrades and improvements. Assists in the configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, and other networking equipment. Implements and enforces IT security policies to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches. Stays informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and implements preventive measures. Ensures compliance with relevant data protection regulations. Creates and updates documentation for IT processes, configurations, and issue resolutions. Conducts training sessions for end-users on IT best practices and new technologies. Fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization. Education/Experience Requirements Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent job experience. Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar role. Ability to type on a keyboard. Ability to hear and talk. Ability to move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, copy machine, and printer. Requires close vision for computer work and reviewing correspondence.
