Director of Presales | AI, Data & Cloud | (East Coast) | $250k

This isn’t a role where you inherit a presales team.

You’ll be the first dedicated presales hire in the US — working alongside the sales team to personally shape, design and help win complex enterprise technology deals.

Ingenio is partnering with a global technology consultancy looking for someone who can sit with a client, understand the commercial and technical problem, and turn it into a solution covering AI, Data, Cloud, software and services.

We want someone who has worked in technology consulting, digital services or a technology vendor environment — designing and selling solutions to enterprise clients.

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery alongside the US sales team

• Run workshops with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs and technical stakeholders

• Design solutions across AI, Data and Cloud

• Turn client requirements into architectures, services and commercial propositions

• Build proposals, RFP responses, POCs and pitches

• Work with global engineering and delivery teams to ensure solutions are deliverable

• Support multiple enterprise opportunities from discovery through to close

• Help build the US presales capability as the business grows

What we're looking for:

You’ll likely have 10+ years across presales, solutions architecture, sales engineering or technology consulting and, critically, experience working on the vendor/consulting side.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Real experience designing solutions across AI, Data and Cloud

• Strong AWS, Azure and/or GCP knowledge

• Understanding of GenAI, RAG, AI agents and modern data platforms

• Experience shaping and winning enterprise technology deals

• The ability to translate business problems into technical and commercial solutions

• Credibility with C-level stakeholders and engineers alike

• Experience directly supporting multiple salespeople and opportunities

And one important point: This is an individual contributor role.

You may build a team in the future, but right now you're being hired to do presales, not manage presales.
