Registered Nurse (RN) | Registered Nurse First Assistant Location: Northampton, MA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,359 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 8/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN First Assist Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: RN First Assist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 5 years of diversified perioperative nursing experience with proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating License: Current licensure as an RN in Massachusetts required Certifications: ACLS, BLS from AHA or American Red Cross required. Completion of an RN First Assisting course that conforms to the Core Curriculum set forth by AORN required. Five (5) years diversified perioperative nursing experience with both scrubbing and circulating proficiency required. Current licensure as an RN in Massachusetts required. Completion of an RN First Assisting course that conforms to the Core Curriculum set forth by AORN. Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or American Red Cross required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Schedule is four 10-hour shifts. Call is required two days a week from 5 PM (or from the end of the shift) to 7 PM, and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every three weekends. Weekend call is for 24 hours per day. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Operating Room, and within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, the RN First Assist is responsible for assisting the surgeon in the lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure.
