This role involves leading and supervising the nursing team, coordinating care plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment. The Unit Supervisor fosters a collaborative work culture, facilitates communication with residents, families, and surveyors, and ensures goals related to care quality, resident satisfaction, and staff retention are met.Roles and Responsibilities • Oversees daily operations of the nursing unit to ensure consistent, high quality resident care. • Supervises nursing staff while fostering accountability, teamwork, and professional growth. • Conducts daily resident rounds, identifies care needs, and addresses concerns promptly and effectively. • Reports resident care issues to the Director of Health Services. • Coordinates and contributes to individualized care plan development to support optimal resident outcomes. • Participates in the nursing on call rotation and provides clinical guidance to staff as needed. • Supports and contributes to staff performance evaluations, coaching, and ongoing competency development. • Serves as a liaison with external surveyors and agencies. • Promotes and models customer service excellence and nursing best practices. • Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining readiness for surveys and audits. • Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Education: Associate Degree Experience: 1-3 yearsLicenses and Certifications Must have and maintain a current, valid nursing license and current, valid CPR certification.Physical Requirements Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
