Special Education Teacher – Somerville, TN

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking two Special Education Teachers to support a school district near Somerville, Tennessee for the remainder of the school year. 

These are full-time positions working in self-contained special education classrooms at the PreK or elementary level.

Position Details:

Location: Somerville, TN
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 4
Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Grade Levels: PreK or K–5
Setting: Self-Contained Special Education Classroom

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction to students in a self-contained classroom setting
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies based on individual student needs
Support students with academic, behavioral, functional, and social-emotional goals
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Implement behavior and classroom management strategies
Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and families
Participate in IEP meetings and other student support meetings
Maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

Requirements:

Active or eligible Tennessee Special Education Teaching License
Previous experience in a self-contained special education classroom preferred
