Job Description
Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule

Day 4x10-Hour shifts (06:30 - 17:00). Expect 2-3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on-call. Call requirements include 7-8 calls in an 8-week schedule, with both weekend and weekday night call shifts.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 8 weeks with an average daily census of 35 patients across 16 rooms.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience; 1st timers accepted
• Certification in BLS required
• Circulate and scrub experience required
• Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems; experience with Davinci XI Robots is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room
• Assist in the preparation and management of the surgical environment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to facilitate safe and efficient operations
• Maintain knowledge of procedures and equipment used in the operating room

Compliance / Notes

Full compliance is required to start on time. There is a maximum RTO of 7 days, with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th). Non-billable orientation hours are based on contract length.
