CNO Vulnerability Researcher, SME

Required Clearance Level TS/SCI with Polygraph Role Description Researches and discovers software vulnerabilities. Reverse engineer software for security mechanism bypasses and perform as the team lead on projects, if/when needed. Assist in managing the designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging of user land and kernel software and systems. Researches and maintains proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer network vulnerabilities, static and dynamic program analysis, network security, and encryption. Communicate statuses with leadership and supervise and mentor subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations. Required Skills and Qualifications To be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years’ experience OR High School and 16+ yrs experience OR Associates and 14+ yrs experience OR Master's and 10+ yrs experience OR PhD and 8+ yrs experience Seven (7) years of position-specific relevant experience. Experience in vulnerability research. Experience in reverse engineering and common security research tools (e.g., IdaPro, Ghidra, Radare, Binary Ninja, SysInternals, GDB, WinDBG, etc.). Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or Assembly (x86/x64) programming. CNO capability development experience. Proficiency in low-level internals in one or more technology areas (e.g., Windows, Linux, Mobile). Desired Skills and Qualifications Degree in Computer Science or related technical field. Nine (9) years of position-specific relevant experience. Pay Rate In compliance with Maryland’s Equal Pay for Equal Work law, the annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $275,000. This range represents the base pay for this role and is provided in accordance with Maryland’s requirements to disclose compensation in job postings. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, candidates hired into this position may be eligible for a hiring bonus of $10,000.00, subject to applicable contingencies and Navstar policy.
