Requirements
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Required
- Experience as a Mammography Technologist: Preferred
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging Radiologic Technologist License: Required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography: Required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography: Required
- Basic Life Support certification: Required
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized examinations of the breast to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
- Conduct diagnostic or screening mammograms as ordered.
- Prepare and assist in intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
- Produce high-quality films for evaluation and complete appropriate documentation.
- Elevate questions and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction.
- Provide patient education regarding the exam while promoting privacy and comfort.
