Teaching capabilities in assigned subject area(s). Excellent communication skills. The ability to address various learning styles. The ability to implement strategies, activities, and techniques for promoting quality student performance in academic and social behavior based on prior knowledge and experience. The ability to contribute to and manage an individual program plan for students with special needs. The ability to create and maintain a climate of respect and fairness for all students. The ability to demonstrate fair and ethical judgments. The ability to apply appropriate consequences for inappropriate student behavior. The ability to display problem solving, cooperative negotiating skills, and conflict resolution strategies. The ability to use classroom instructional time appropriately and wisely. Ability to implement the vision and mission of the District. Ability to observe and follow all school district policies at all times. Ability to keep student and personnel information and records confidential. Ability to perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as directed by the Principal. Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions Must be prompt and reliable. May be asked to perform duties in classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, auditorium, and recreational areas. Frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 30 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 40 pounds may be required. Other physical activities may be required. Occasional travel with students on field trips may be necessary. Must be appropriately dressed for assignment. Must be able to work independently without continuous supervision. Must be able to perform teaching tasks with reasonable accommodation(s). Qualifications Required – Arizona Department of Education Substitute, Teaching or Administrative Certificate. Required – Attend One-Day District Orientation. Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Job Requirements Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
