Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing assignment in Des Moines, Iowa. Job Summary Labor and Delivery Nurse in Des Moines, Iowa. This position involves providing high‑quality care to mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with a focus on high‑risk obstetric cases, including C‑sections and vaginal deliveries. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. Location & Schedule Location: Des Moines, Iowa. Schedule: Days shift, 12‑hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Qualifications Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Active Iowa or multistate (compact) Nursing License. Recent/current Labor and Delivery experience, including high‑risk obstetrics, antepartum, C‑section and vaginal delivery experience. BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certification. EPIC electronic medical record experience. Completed at least one travel assignment in the past 12 months. Preferred Qualifications Experience in postpartum and mother‑baby care. Additional Information Float rotation may be required across multiple campuses. Orientation scheduled for 6/22 and 7/6, with 6/22 prioritized. Holiday work required on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day unless the unit is closed. Must have a recent professional reference within the past 24 months and a valid driver’s license.
