Physical Therapy Assistant

Day Shift

Contract length and guaranteed hours/week will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Two years' technical experience: Preferred
• Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or outpatient setting: Preferred
• Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per policy: Required
• Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in the implementation of treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients about exercises and treatment protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
• Document patient care and progress according to facility guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
