Supplier Quality Engineer Staff (Level 4)

Supplier Quality Engineer Staff Deployed position in the Greater Los Angeles Area primarily located in Long Beach area. Telecommuter remote work is permissible with reasonable driving distance to assigned suppliers. The supplier is located in Santa Clarita. Job Responsibilities Achieve total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers that produce major airframe and systems components. Lead supplier through developing and executing plans that ensure a long-term flow of defect‑free products in support of LM Aero production. Collaborate with functional organizations and leadership at supplier sites and LM Aero to solve technical and contractual issues, ensuring supplier performance is aligned with quality goals while sustaining production delivery requirements. Qualifications Bachelor or Master degree in STEM from an accredited college. Working knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods, tooling, AS9100, AS9102. Knowledge of Six Sigma, PDCA, PFMEA, Mistake Proofing and Gap Analysis. Proficiency in root cause analysis, cause mapping, cause & effect diagrams, pick charts, structured RCCA for effective corrective action. Experience with Blueprint Reading, First Article Inspection (FAI), interpretation of engineering process specifications, verification of mechanical methods for complex machined parts and assemblies. Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), surveillance of QMS/manufacturing processes. Must be a U.S. Citizen and within a reasonable driving distance to LM assigned suppliers. Green belt and Six Sigma certification is a plus. Experience with RCCA, PFMEA, APQP. Security Clearance Position requires a government security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory. Clearance level: Secret.
