We operate a substantial modern fleet of rigs where the focus is on pride in performance, people and safety.Job Description:The Risk Manager oversees workplace injury cases, claims, and operational risk strategies.. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with management including Safety and HR to strengthen compliance, improve reporting visibility and data, and sustain long term claim results.Key Responsibilities:Oversee occupational injury and workers’ compensation programs across multiple states and business locationsDevelop and enhance policies, procedures, and governance standards related to claims management and loss preventionPartner with Operations, HR, Safety, and Finance teams to improve organizational risk performance and claim outcomesSupervise, delegate claims processing and evaluate the performance of one Worker’s Comp/Safety administratorManage escalated, high-exposure, or litigated claims and provide strategic guidance on resolution approachesAnalyze claims trends, reserve activity, and financial exposure to support forecasting and risk mitigation effortsCollaborate with safety leadership to identify recurring injury patterns and implement preventative initiativesEnsure compliance with workers’ compensation regulations and OSHA-related requirements across multiple jurisdictionsQualifications:5+ years of experience in workers’ compensation, occupational risk, claims management, or corporate risk leadershipExperience supporting high-volume, multi-site, or operationally intensive organizationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience requiredProfessional certifications such as CRM, ARM or similar credentials preferredPrevious experience in oil and gas sector a plusLatshaw Drilling Company (LDC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
