Job Description Provides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education. The Medical Assistant experiences continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant role. This role offers the opportunity to travel between offices —bringing variety to your workday and the chance to collaborate across multiple teams and communities. Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder for Medical Assistants based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held.

Qualifications Education: Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relative experience as outlined below. Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment. Experience: In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered. Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred. EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Other Locations: Connecticut-Norwich, Connecticut-New London Regular Standard Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule: Full-time (40 hours) Shift Details: Monday-Friday. Typical shifts are either 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:30am - 5:00pm depending on the practice. No nights/weekends. Travel is required within the region.
