OR Scheduler Unit Secretary

Hourly Wage Estimate: $19.78 - $27.70 / hour Position Summary The Scheduler will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to manage the clerical and scheduling functions required in the Surgical Services departments. The Scheduler functions independently to schedule procedures, act as liaison to physicians and their offices, operate and help maintain the computer system, and enter and maintain assigned daily charges and statistical information. The Scheduler may rotate to other surgical services departments and will be responsible for those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. Position Requirements One to three years of experience as a unit secretary or scheduler preferred. Qualifications Basic to advanced computer knowledge; skills with scheduling systems preferred. Typing and word‑processing skills required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of medical terminology. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
