Project ManagerThe Project Manager leads construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. The position offers significant opportunities for advancement and is ideal for a motivated professional who wants to grow quickly in their career.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage construction projects to ensure they are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with defined quality standards.Develop a deep understanding of project scope, approach, and constructability to guide planning, execution, and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate and oversee project engineering and project coordination activities, including reviewing construction documents and ensuring they are current and accurate.Manage requests for information (RFIs) by preparing, reviewing, and tracking responses to ensure timely clarification of design and construction issues.Administer change orders by evaluating impacts, preparing documentation, obtaining approvals, and incorporating changes into project plans and budgets.Lead and mentor project team members, delegating tasks effectively and fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.Provide clear direction to subordinates, monitor progress, and hold team members accountable for meeting project objectives and quality expectations.Communicate proactively and professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and maintain strong working relationships.Use analytical and detail-oriented approaches to monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary.Make sound, timely decisions in fast-paced project environments, balancing project constraints and stakeholder expectations.Support estimation and preconstruction efforts by contributing project knowledge, reviewing estimates, and validating constructability assumptions.Promote and uphold high standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and fairness in all project activities and interactions.Contribute to the growth and development of the office, particularly in the Arizona market, by supporting business objectives and demonstrating strong leadership.Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, reports, and logs, using appropriate software tools.Collaborate with leadership to identify process improvements and best practices that enhance project delivery and team performance.Essential SkillsStrong project management skills with the ability to manage construction projects from planning through completion.In-depth knowledge of project scope, approach, and constructability, with the ability to apply this knowledge to day-to-day decision-making.Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with the ability to review and interpret construction documents and project data.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to team members, stakeholders, and partners.Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, guide, and develop project teams.Proven ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner in a dynamic project environment.Ability to delegate work effectively among subordinates and manage multiple priorities.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including common productivity tools used in project management.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Project for scheduling and project planning.Proficient knowledge of Vista or similar project or financial management software.Preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management, Architecture, or equivalent industry-specific education.Minimum three years of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in the construction industry.Strong skills in construction management, including coordination of field and office activities.Experience with RFIs, change orders, and construction document management.Ability to support estimation and construction planning activities.Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism, honesty, integrity, and fairness.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.Equivalent industry-specific experience may substitute for formal education where appropriate.Experience in project engineering and project coordination on construction projects.Familiarity with construction estimation and cost analysis processes.Motivated, growth-oriented mindset with a strong desire to advance quickly within the organization.Demonstrated ability to act as a great communicator, building trust and rapport with team members and stakeholders.Interest in contributing to the growth of the office, particularly in developing and expanding operations in Arizona.Track record of exemplifying professionalism, honesty, integrity, and fairness in previous roles.Work EnvironmentThe role operates in a professional construction project environment that includes both office-based and project site activities.
