Subsea SWAT Engineer

As a Subsea SWAT Engineer, you will support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of subsea well control equipment, primarily the Blowout Preventer (BOP) stack and related systems. Whilst onboard the drilling rig, you will work under the guidance of the core crew subsea personnel to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations, while providing hands-on experience in high-pressure, high-stakes environments. This role is “hands on” and will serve the Noble global fleet on 28/28 rotation, not fixed to one single drilling rig.Essential FunctionsAssist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of subsea BOP systems and control podsMonitor and maintain hydraulic and multiplex control systemsMaintain Surface WCE such as Choke and Kill Systems, Motion Compensation Systems and Riser SystemsSupport routine and non-routine inspections of subsea equipment, including risers, LMRP, and wellhead componentsParticipate in pressure testing, function testing, and troubleshooting of subsea systemsMaintain accurate records of equipment status, maintenance logs, and test resultsAssist with ROV operations related to subsea equipment deployment and retrievalEnsure compliance with Noble safety protocols, regulatory standards (e.g., API, ABS), and company proceduresCollaborate with drilling, marine, and rig maintenance teams to coordinate subsea activitiesParticipate in pre-job planning, risk assessments, and safety meetingsParticipate in end of hitch After Action Reviews to drive continuous improvementsExperienceMinimum of 2 years’ experience working offshore with Subsea Well Control SystemsFamiliarity with HMH & NOV Well Control Systems is a strong advantageProficiency in IFS ERP System is a strong advantageStrong reporting and recording skills are desiredTechnical Skills:Understanding of subsea well control systems maintenance and pressure testing proceduresAbility to read technical drawings and schematicsTechnical Troubleshooting of Subsea Systems is a necessitySoft Skills:Strong attention to detail and safety awarenessEffective communication and teamwork in multicultural environmentsWillingness to work offshore in rotational shifts and challenging conditionsStrong attention to procedural disciplineQualifications :Time served with appropriate certification in a Mechanical discipline orGraduation from a Subsea Trainee programYears of experience working with Well Control Equipment will be consideredCareer Path :The role is a launchpad to becoming a core crew Subsea Engineer, Subsea Crew Chief or Subsea Superintendent.SUPERVISORYNone #J-18808-Ljbffr Noble Corporation
