This Fractional CFO role is expected to average approximately 20-30 hours per week , with flexibility to adjust based on business needs and ongoing projects. - Serve as a strategic finance partner to ownership and executive leadership
- Manage and strengthen banking, lending, and external financial relationships
- Lead financing, refinancing, and underwriting activities across a real estate portfolio
- Perform hold-versus-sell analyses and provide recommendations that support investment objectives
- Develop financial models, cash flow forecasts, projections, and long-range planning analyses
- Evaluate potential investment opportunities and support capital allocation decisions
- Oversee portfolio and corporate budgeting processes
- Review financial performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Assist with business planning, special projects, and strategic initiatives
- Partner with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting
- Utilize Yardi and other financial systems to support reporting and analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree and/or CPA are welcome but not required
- 5+ years' experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Director of Finance, or similar senior finance leadership role
- Strong background in real estate, property management, investments, private equity, development, or asset management environments a plus, but not required
- Knowledge in underwriting, financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic analysis a plus
- Experience negotiating and managing commercial lending relationships a plus
- Ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful business recommendations
- Experience with Yardi or similar software a plus, but not required
