Director, Tax Reporting

Position Overview As Director Tax Reporting, you will manage the global income tax provision and reporting framework, leading a team of tax reporting professionals, and ensuring high‑quality tax disclosures and compliance with US GAAP ASC 740. Key Responsibilities Own and oversee the global quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740 Effective tax rate (ETR) analysis and forecasting Valuation allowances and uncertain tax positions (FIN 48) Interim reporting and discrete items Pillar 2 & CBCR reporting Set direction for high‑quality tax disclosures in shareholder reports and risk factors Act as the primary contact for external auditors, managing audits, reviews, and technical position papers Monitor and interpret changes in US GAAP tax accounting standards and assess impact on the group Systems, Data & Process Ownership (SAP) Accountable for the global income tax accounting and reporting framework under ASC 740, including external reporting, governance, and financial statement integrity Manage SAP (ECC / S/4HANA) tax‑relevant data flows Implement tax provision and reporting tools integrated with SAP (e.g., provision engines, reporting layers) Finance Transformation & IT Partnership Improve data quality, automation, and controls in tax reporting processes Reduce manual adjustments and spreadsheet dependency Design scalable, future‑proof tax reporting architecture Define global process standards, documentation, and controls for tax reporting, aligned with SOX requirements Governance, Controls & Risk Management Lead SOX‑compliant controls over income tax accounting and reporting Lead tax reporting risk assessments and remediate any control deficiencies Stakeholder Management Partner closely with global and regional tax teams, corporate accounting and controllership, FP&A, and external auditors and advisors Translate complex tax accounting outcomes into clear, decision‑relevant insights for senior finance leadership Leadership & Capability Building Lead, coach, and develop a global tax reporting team (direct and/or matrixed) Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and knowledge sharing across regions Build sustainable tax reporting capability as the organization grows and transforms Coordinate global representation letters, tax disclosures, and management certifications Required Skills & Experience Deep hands‑on expertise in US GAAP, specifically ASC 740 accounting for income taxes Experience consolidating a multi‑national, multi‑currency group under US GAAP CPA or equivalent with at least 10 years of post‑qualification experience in financial and management accounting and corporate tax reporting in an international business environment Knowledge of internal control standards under COSO and Sarbanes‑Oxley Experience with external tax and governmental filings (country‑by‑country reporting, economic substance, balance of payments, CRS, FATCA) Experience managing tax aspects of a company’s trading structure Strong analytic skills linking financial results to operational performance drivers Experience producing insightful analytics and accurate reporting within tight deadlines Ability to manage multiple tasks in a changing, fast‑paced environment Self‑starter who works independently and within a team to achieve results Knowledge of consumer products industry or compilation of financial statements is an advantage Solid IT skills: Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, INDEX, VLOOKUP, macros), and experience extracting data from financial systems (TM1, COGNOS, SAP, STC, etc.) and tax reporting tooling solutions Personal Qualities Belonging – creating a culture where people feel appreciated and can grow Self‑awareness – reflective and understands own strengths, weaknesses, and impact on others People agility – relates to people and navigates tough situations to harness collective performance Results agility – delivers results, inspiring teams through first‑time situations Mental agility – thinks critically, penetrates complex problems, and brings creativity to challenges Change agility – curious, experiments, and handles change with a growth mindset Benefits Competitive pay package Competitive holiday and paid time off, plus additional volunteer days Retirement and pension plan Health and wellbeing: medical, critical illness, and life insurance; employee assistance programs; inclusive leave policies Additional benefits may vary by location and include incentive plans tied to performance EEO Statement Bacardi seeks talent from all backgrounds to bring diversity of thought, agility and capability to our organization across the globe.
