Behavioral Health Front End Ops Analyst – Samaritan Hospital – FT Days Position Summary : The Behavioral Health Front End Operations Analyst is responsible for: The training and orientation of new hire registration staff (including design and implementation of training materials and front‑end processes). Working the daily/weekly/monthly follow‑up tasks to support operations. Conducting site reviews on ROI’s and regulatory compliance of admission paperwork. Designing and implementing new front‑end processes and procedures. Monitoring registration and insurance accuracy and providing feedback to leadership on performance; educating staff on deficiencies. Monitoring and tracking client cases requiring authorization; notifying clinical staff when initial and concurrent reviews are required. Providing financial counseling to clients and helping them apply for assistance programs. Covering and supporting front office operations at SPHP Behavioral Health locations, on‑site and remotely as appropriate. Employment Details Employment type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Pay Range: $20.20 – $29.30 per hour (pay may vary based on experience, skills, education, and location). Education Requirements Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or Health Services Administration (preferred). Three to five years of experience in a Substance Abuse or Mental Health program or patient registration related field may substitute for the degree. Proficiency in Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health regulations and billing highly desirable. Experience & Skills Requirements Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and implement audit procedures, monitor projects, develop and present staff education programs, and solve administrative problems. Effective communication and negotiation skills with all levels of health‑care professionals. Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities. Experience working in a team/collaborative environment. Three to five years of hospital or Substance Abuse‑related patient interview and registration experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities. Proficiency with computer software programs such as Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office.
