Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified RN - MedSurg to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, focusing on conditions such as CHF, COPD, and pneumonia.
• Utilize the EPIC charting system to document patient care accurately and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with Charge Nurses and PCTs to manage patient assignments with a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:7.
• Float to different units based on census requirements, with priority given to external travelers.
• Monitor patients using remote telemetry systems and respond promptly to any abnormalities.
• Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results to maintain therapeutic levels.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in West Virginia or compact state.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a MedSurg setting preferred.
• Willingness to float between units and adapt to varying patient ratios.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and every other weekend as required.
• Compliance with facility policies, including a 50-mile radius rule for submissions.
