Office Assistant

Salary Range: $20 - $23.50 Hourly

Position Summary:

The Part-Time Office Assistant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Dayton, Oregon location. Serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, this position helps create a welcoming and professional experience while ensuring office administration, systems, and facility needs run smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities, thrives in an organized environment, and takes pride in supporting a team. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while providing administrative and coordination support across the organization.

This is a part-time position offering a consistent schedule of three days per week, averaging 24 hours per week, providing flexibility and work-life balance while maintaining meaningful involvement with the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet and assist visitors; answer phones and direct inquiries professionallyManage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and postage machineMaintain office supply inventory, order equipment, and coordinate with service vendorsAssist with procurement processes including invoice coding and data entryCoordinate with stockroom personnel for supply needs and purchasesHelp organize and support company events, meetings, tours, and travel logistics (meals, signs, etc.)Maintain both digital and paper filing systems and general office documentationSupport report distribution, record keeping, and general admin functionsTravel occasionally to support consistency in procedures across locationsPerform other administrative duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Education or training in office or business administration, or proven experience in a similar administrative roleProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)Strong time management and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and apply proactive problem-solving skillsClear and professional communication abilitiesValid driver's license with an insurable driving record

Preferred Qualifications :

Bilingual English/SpanishExperience with purchasing or inventory softwareFamiliarity with coordinating multi-site administrative tasks

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This position is primarily office-based but includes regular visits to nearby agricultural sites. Responsibilities include computer work, phone use, and maintaining physical and digital filing systems, which may involve reaching, bending, and organizing documents. Site visits may require walking on uneven terrain, exposure to outdoor weather conditions, and wearing appropriate PPE when needed. The employee may occasionally need to lift or carry materials up to 25 pounds.
