Introduction Our client is a practice seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. Role Description and Responsibilities As an Associate Veterinarian, you will practice in accordance with evidence-based medicine and professional standards of care while providing comprehensive medical and surgical services to companion animals. Responsibilities include performing physical and virtual examinations, diagnostic testing, preventative healthcare, client education, and surgical procedures. You will assist in the creation and implementation of enhanced veterinary best practice guidelines and help foster a culture of preventative healthcare through client partnerships and wellness plans. The role also involves educating paraprofessional team members, advocating for pet health, and strengthening the human-animal bond through effective communication and compassionate care. Clinical responsibilities include diagnostics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, biopsies, cystotomy procedures, exploratory laparotomy, intestinal resection and anastomosis, enucleation, amputations, deworming, microchipping, and vaccination services. This position is open to experienced veterinarians only. Practice Details This AAHA accredited practice provides a broad range of veterinary services for dogs and cats. Diagnostic services include physical examinations, virtual examinations, intestinal parasite testing, heartworm testing, leukemia and FIV testing, bloodwork, urinalysis, ear cytology, and skin cytology. Surgical and treatment services include amputations, biopsies, cystotomy procedures, dental cleaning, enucleation, exploratory laparotomy, general soft tissue surgery, intestinal resection and anastomosis, microchipping, deworming, and vaccination programmes. The practice operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday through Sunday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Team The practice is currently staffed by 1 veterinarian and a great tenured support team.
