Canvas of Emotion Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Virtual Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position allows professionals to provide critical support to individuals facing mental health challenges from the comfort of a remote setting. The ideal candidate will possess a licensure as an LICSW, LMFT, or LPC and will play an instrumental role in delivering quality mental health care to a diverse client population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to develop personalized treatment plans for clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions to address varying mental health concerns, ensuring a safe and non-judgmental space.
  • Assist with the supervision and mentoring of junior therapists and interns to ensure professional development and maintain service quality.
  • Develop and implement case management strategies, advocating for client needs and linking them to appropriate resources.
  • Participate in rotation and provide after-hours on-call services as needed, demonstrating commitment to team support and client care.
  • Stay current with professional development through training and supervision to meet agency requirements and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a client population that includes individuals dealing with mental health issues, intellectual disabilities, and substance abuse disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, including various socioeconomic statuses, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. Culturally sensitive care and the ability to establish rapport with clients from different walks of life are crucial for successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • No history of medical malpractice claims, verified through a third-party background check.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for clients.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in a telehealth setting is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience working with multicultural populations and familiarity with trauma-informed care practices is an advantage.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and management would be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $105,000, depending on your caseload and experience. We offer a competitive salary complemented by a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
