Provides each resident with professional nursing care, assessment, and evaluation within scope of practice. Responsibilities Provides resident care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan, and coordinating with other health care providers. Develops nursing care plans based on medical histories, resident examinations, and documentation of physical condition, psychological status, and social factors. Educates residents, families, and friends on health conditions, medications, and self‑care skills. Evaluates resident care, measures health outcomes, and modifies nursing care plans as needed. Maintains a safe and healthy resident care environment, following infection‑control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled substance regulations. Ensures resident care equipment is operating properly, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and ordering supplies. Coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers to and from the facility. Directs and coordinates workflow of nursing assistants and other nursing personnel. Maintains competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership. Required Education and Certification Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing with an active license in the state of practice (upon hire). Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing with an active license in the state of practice (upon hire). Preferred Education and Experience 1-3 years of experience in a clinical or long‑term care environment.
